Mountaineers Finish Third at Big 12 Championships

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University cross country team finished third with 86 team points at the 2025 Cross Country Big 12 Championships in Lawrence, Kan.
Sophomore Joy Naukot once again led the Mountaineers, finishing second overall with a time of 19:14.3 to earn All-Big 12 honors for the second consecutive season.
Mercy Kinyanjui added another top ten performance for WVU, placing eighth (19:46.0), while redshirt senior Emily Bryce finished 15th (19:57.9) to join her teammates on the All-Big 12 Team.
Lexi Lamb placed 24th (20:09.6) and Anastasia Chepkorir finished 40th (20:51/5) to complete the Mountaineers' scoring lineup.
Also competing for West Virginia was Tatiana Moura, who finished 61st with a time of 21:34.4. Mary Delaney crossed the line in 74th place, finishing in 22:01.6, followed by freshman Aislinn Frazer, who placed 86th in 22:20.7. Eva Rinker rounded out the lineup, placing 112nd with a time of 22:59.4.
WVU will return to action at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Nov. 14 in Bethlehem, Pa.
