West Virginia Concludes Weekend of Split Competition

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team concluded split weekend competition between the Bison Outdoor Classic Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California on Sunday.
The Mountaineers wrapped up the Bryan Clay Invitational on Saturday with redshirt junior Cassandra Williamson adding the fastest time for a Mountaineer this season in the women's 400-meter race at the 56.37 mark.
Additionally, Freshman Kishay Rowe added a personal best time in the 400 meters, trailing Williamson with a time of 56.83. West Virginia concluded action in Azusa with freshman Mary Delaney boasting a personal best time of 4:31.96 in the women's 1,500 meter open.
On Saturday in Lewisburg, redshirt sophomore Tatiana Moura raced in the women's 1,500-meter invitational, adding a time of 4:39.46. Classmate Aubrie Custer also collected a personal best in the women's 1,500 meter open, etching a mark of 4:59.82.
On Sunday, the Bison Outdoor Classic was highlighted by redshirt sophomore Emily Bryce and freshman Eva Rinker who ran for times of 2:16.86 and 2:17.29, respectively. Rinker's time marked a personal best in the event.
Next, the Mountaineers serve host for the Mountaineer Twilight on April 19-20 at the Track and Field Complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown. Additionally, the squad will travel to the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Virginia on April 19-20 which will be held at Lannigan Field.
