
West Virginia Wraps Up Competition in Florida

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team completed competition at the USF Alumni Invitation in Tampa, Florida at the USF Track and Field Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Redshirt freshman Annishka McDonald led the Mountaineers in her outdoor debut of the women's high jump, tying for sixth place at the 1.70-meter mark. Senior Abigale Mullings followed behind, leaping for 1.65 meters to tie for eighth place.
Additionally, junior Eden Williams and freshman Victoria Marston competed in the high jump, finishing at the 1.65 and 1.60-meter marks, respectively.
On the track, redshirt sophomore Tatiana Moura had her outdoor debut in the women's 1,500 meters, running for a time of 4:35.11.
Next up, West Virginia will host the Stan Romanoski Open on March 22-23 at the Track and Field Complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown, West Virginia. The meet kicks off on Friday with the men's hammer throw at 11 a.m. ET, followed by the women's hammer throw at 1 p.m. On Saturday, competition is set to begin at 11 a.m. with the men's discuss and will conclude at 7:10 p.m. with the men's 4x400 meter relay.
