Sullivan Qualifies for 2024 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Sophomore Abigail Sullivan of the West Virginia men's and women's swimming and diving teams qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday.
After placing fifth with an impressive performance on the women's platform with a total score of 465.45 at the 2024 NCAA Zone A Diving Championships, Sullivan will represent the Mountaineers at the NCAA Championships.
Sullivan is the first female diver from WVU to qualify on the women's platform and the first female WVU diver to qualify for the NCAA Championships in any event since 1984.
Sullivan was one of five divers to compete on the last day of the zone diving championships in Princeton, New Jersey. In the preliminary round, senior Sara Haggerty just missed the cut for the final with a final score of 125.50.
Junior Sarah Krusinski qualified for the final where she placed 17th with a total score of 408.55.
On the men's side, freshman Owen Recker and junior Glenn Eloriaga competed on the men's platform as both qualified for the final. Recker placed 10th with a final score of 625.30 and Eloriaga scored a 596.45 to place 14th.
