
McGhin Named Student-Athlete of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After sweeping the podium with an 1192 aggregate score at the NCAA Qualifying Match on Feb. 17, senior Molly McGhin has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
McGhin scored a 593 in smallbore and a 599 in air rifle. McGhin helped the Mountaineers shoot a 4751 aggregate total, matching the program record set earlier in the season.
Up next, West Virginia will compete at the Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) Championship in West Point, N.Y. The championship will take place Feb. 24-25.
The 2024 NCAA Championships are slated for March 8-9, at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown.
This Week in Women's Basketball: The Mountaineers are set for two contests this week … WVU opens play with a 7:30 p.m. ET meeting with Kansas State on Wednesday, Feb. 21, on the road in Manhattan, Kan. … the Mountaineers then return home for a matchup with Baylor at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, inside the WVU Coliseum.
