MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University golf team will return to action and close out its fall season by hosting the White Sands Collegiate in Paradise Island, Bahamas, from Friday through Sunday.
The event will take place at the par-72, 6,943-yard Ocean Club Golf Course. Golfers will play 18 holes on Friday, 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday, all shotgun starts beginning at 8 a.m.
Joining host West Virginia will be Houston, College of Charleston, Rutgers, George Mason, Maryland, Northern Illinois, UC San Diego, Eastern Michigan, Ball State, Ohio University and Emory.
"We are excited to serve as host of the White Sands NCAA Invitational, and partner with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Atlantis Paradise Island and the Ocean Club to host an elite collegiate event with a PGA Tour exemption on the line for our individual champion," coach Sean Covich said. "This will be a special week for all involved, but especially our three seniors. I hope we can end the fall semester on a strong note and put of team in position to do great things like we did last spring."
West Virginia's lineup will consist of seniors Todd Duncan, Max Green and Pierce Grieve, junior Kaleb Wilson and freshman Nick Turowski. Junior Westy McCabe and freshman Ryan Leach will compete as individuals.
Live scoring will be available at Scoreboard by Clippd.
