Rifle No. 4 in Latest CRCA Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rifle team is ranked No. 4 in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll, the organization announced.
Alaska Fairbanks sits at No. 1 in the poll while Georgia Southern sits in second. TCU comes in at No. 3 while Murray State rounds out the top five in fifth.
The poll is determined based on each team's most recent match score.
Joining West Virginia from the GARC in the poll are No. 6 Kentucky, No. 9 Army, No. 10 Akron, No. 12 Navy, and No. 13 Memphis.
The Mountaineers have won 17 straight regular season matches, dating back to the beginning of the 2024-25 season. The Mountaineers' 4735 aggregate and 2352.3 smallbore averages are the second best in the nation, trailing just Alaska Fairbanks. WVU's 2382.7 is the third-best average in the nation.
Next up, West Virginia hosts Mount Aloysius on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the WVU Rifle Range inside the WVU Shell Building. The match is scheduled to begin at noon ET.
