
West Virginia Travels to Youngstown for YSU Collegiate Invitational

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team is set to compete at the YSU Collegiate Invitational on Friday, Jan. 19, in Youngstown, Ohio. Friday's meet will be held at the Watson and Tressel Training Site and is slated for 12 p.m. ET.
Friday marks the first and only trip to Youngstown for the Mountaineers during the 2024 season. West Virginia is one of 26 teams competing, which includes teams at the Division I, II and III level.
The Mountaineers will compete in the women's 60 meters, the mile run, 400 meters, 800 meters, 200 meters, 3,000 meters, the high jump and the long jump.
Redshirt freshman Annishka McDonald ranks sixth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the high jump with a 1.74-meter mark.
Last time out, West Virginia competed at the PSU Nittany Lion Challenge on Jan. 13. McDonald and freshman Kishay Rowe showed promise in their collegiate debuts, as McDonald finished second in the women's high jump at the 1.74-meter mark. Rowe claimed the silver medal in the women's 600 meter with a 1.32:13 finish, good enough for third on the all-time indoor performance list. Redshirt sophomore Emily Bryce won her heat in the women's mile run with a time of 5:05.69.
