MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Signalcaller, Jed Drenning, joins today's Mountaineer Insider Podcast to break down Saturday's season opening game at seventh-ranked Penn State.
This will be West Virginia's most challenging road opener since it traveled to Norman, Oklahoma, to face ninth-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday, Sept. 11, 1982.
Since then, the Mountaineers have also opened seasons in neutral venues versus fourth-ranked Nebraska in 1994, versus second-ranked Alabama in 2014, and against 21
st-ranked Virginia Tech in 2017.
Jed and Andrew Caridi dig deep into the numbers to get you ready for the revival of a longtime series that was last played in 1992.
This will be West Virginia's first trip to Happy Valley since 1991.
