West Virginia Travels to Stanford

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team travels to Stanford University for the Stanford Invitational on March 31-April 1, at Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field in Palo Alto, California.

The Mountaineers open competition in The Golden State with the 1,500-meter run at 3:41 p.m. ET. Action Saturday kicks off with the 800-meter at 5:14 p.m. Live steaming and results can be found at wvusports.com.

Friday marks WVU's first time competing in the Stanford Invitational since 2019.

Last time out at the Stanford Invitational, then-redshirt freshman Hayley Jackson competed in the 5,000-meter run, crossing the finish line at 16:20.50. Additionally, then-redshirt junior Olivia Hill ran the 10,000-meter race in 34:28.43.

West Virginia competes in the 800-meter, 1,500-meter, 3,000-meter steeplechase, 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter at the Invitational.
