West Virginia Earns No. 10 Seed for NCAA Tournament

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team (19-11, 10-8 Big 12) was selected as a No. 10 seed for the 2023 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, announced Sunday evening.
West Virginia opens the first round against No. 7-seed Arizona on Friday, March 17, in the Greenville1 Region of this year's 64-team bracket, at the XFINITY Center in College Park, Maryland. Tipoff for the contest has yet to be determined. The other teams featured in WVU's portion of the first and second round bracket include No. 2 Maryland and No. 15 Holy Cross.
The opportunity to continue playing in the NCAA Tournament is incredibly special," WVU coach Dawn Plitzuweit said. "I am so very proud of our young ladies and our staff for how hard they have worked all season. We are also excited for Mountaineer Nation and hope to see a lot of our fans on Friday as we take on Arizona.
WVU will be making its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since the 2020-21 season and for the 14th time in program history.

All session and single session tickets for the NCAA Women's Basketball 1st and 2nd Rounds are on sale at the University of Maryland Ticket Office. WVU does not have any tickets to sell to the public.

All session tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for students, youth and seniors with general admission tickets selling for $20. Single session tickets are $16 for general admission and $20 for reserved seating.
