
McCormick Named Student-Athlete of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior midfielder Luke McCormick of the West Virginia University men's soccer team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week presented by University Apartments.
In the NCAA Quarterfinal contest against Loyola Marymount, McCormick scored the equalizing goal, the first of three unanswered goals by the Mountaineers as WVU advanced to the NCAA College Cup for the first time in program history.
McCormick has seven goals this season, including three in six postseason games. He also has three assists this season giving him 20 for his career, fourth-most in West Virginia history.
West Virginia will face Clemson in the NCAA College Cup Semifinal on Friday, Dec. 8, at Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky, at 6 p.m. E.T.
