MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team continues the campaign with a two-day meet on Friday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Penn State National Open hosted by Penn State University at the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track in University Park, Pennsylvania.
Friday's action begins at 10:30 a.m. ET, with field and running events. Live results and streaming can be found at wvusports.com.
This weekend marks the second time WVU competes at Penn State this season and is the first of two consecutive weekends the squad will travel to University Park. In West Virginia's last time out at the Youngstown State Invitational on Jan. 20, redshirt senior Hayley Jackson claimed first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:10.21.
Schools up and down the east coast are sending athletes to compete across the two-day meet. Friday consists of first rounds of races with a high number of entries, semi-finals and finals of events. All events on Saturday are finals. The heptathlon will stretch across both days, while the pentathlon begins and ends on Friday.
