Box Score MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against Coastal Carolina on Friday night at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
In the Mountaineers' first-ever Sun Belt Conference fixture, WVU (2-3-1, 0-0-1 Sun Belt) got everything but the goal, outshooting the Chanticleers (2-2-2, 0-0-1 Sun Belt), 13-5, including 6-2 in shots on goal. West Virginia also held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Marcus Caldeira led the way with three shots on the night – all of them on frame. The Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, native was a threat to score on multiple occasions, but the chances were turned away by the CCU keeper.

Dyon Dromers struck a ball from outside the box in the closing seconds of the match. However, it sailed just over the bar to keep the score line at 0-0.

Jackson Lee made two saves and earned his second clean sheet of the season.
WVU moved to 3-1-2 all-time against the Chants, including 2-0-1 in Morgantown. With the result, the Mountaineers are now unbeaten at home in 16 of their last 17 matches, dating back to March 24, 2021.
