Box Score MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Oct. 12, 2022) – The West Virginia University volleyball team fell to Iowa State in five sets at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa, on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
The Mountaineers (6-12, 0-6 Big 12) took the first two sets against Iowa State (11-7, 3-2 Big 12) but eventually fell to bring the match to a close.
Freshman outside hitter
Bailey Miller led the match with 16 kills. The Quinlan, Texas, native also tallied 17 digs, good for her seventh double-double of the campaign.
Junior libero
Skye Stokes broke the Big 12 Conference single-match 2022 season-high for digs, notching 36 digs. Stokes broke the record previously set by herself on Sept. 24, when she put up 31 digs.
Fifth-year senior outside hitter
Adrian Ell racked up 25 assists to lead the team. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native also added 16 digs, earning her seventh double-double of the season.
Additionally, West Virginia notched 49 kills and 92 digs during the match.
