MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team is back to action this weekend as they travel to Cleveland, Ohio, on Sunday, Jan. 30, to face Cleveland State.

"We are excited to get another opportunity this week to bounce back from last week's Penn State result," Mountaineer coach
Miha Lisac said. "We battled well in that match, but we want to take steps forward and execute a lot better in the match tomorrow."
WVU and CSU are set to meet for the fourth time since 2016 on Sunday afternoon. The Mountaineers lead the all-time series, 3-0. West Virginia last competed against Cleveland State in the spring of 2020, defeating the Vikings, 7-0, in Morgantown.
CSU enters Sunday's contest with a record of 1-0, coming off a 4-3 victory over Dayton.
West Virginia is 0-1 and is coming off a loss to Penn State. The Mountaineers fell to the Nittany Lions 2-5, as freshmen
Michaela Kucharova and Tatiana Lipatova were the solo wins of the matchup.
