Riggs Welcomes Seven Women to 2021-22 Recruiting Class

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men's and women's swimming and diving head coach Vic Riggs has announced the addition of seven student-athletes to the women's roster for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
"I can't wait to welcome this class on campus," Riggs said. "Each member of this class has the qualities we look for to be Mountaineers, in both academics and athletics. I look forward to their involvement and impact in our program over the upcoming years."
One student-athlete is set to join the diving team, while six others will be added to the swimming roster. Featured in the women's incoming class are Morgan Burton (Midlothian, Virginia/James River HS), Hannah Cech (Cincinnati, Ohio/University of Arkansas), Miranda Kirtley (Daleville, Va./Lord Botetourt School), Emily Knorr (Salisbury, North Carolina/Salisbury HS), Sarah Krusinski (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame HS), Mia Walters (Dacula, Georgia/Mill Creek HS), and Ana Zortea (Sao Paolo, Brazil/Florida State)

Cech on WVU: "I chose WVU because the team is very close and even though we are technically two different teams, we act like one big family. Also, I could tell the coaches wanted me to be a part of the team and cared about me."
