MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team will host former players and coaches in Morgantown on Oct. 4-5 for volleyball Alumni Weekend. All alumni will be honored during the team's match against Iowa State on Saturday, Oct. 5.
"These are the players and coaches who laid the foundation for our program, and I think it's great for our current team to be able to interact with them," fifth-year coach Reed Sunahara said. "I look forward to seeing everyone back in Morgantown in a couple months."
The weekend will start with a social at Kegler's on Friday, Oct. 4, at 6 p.m. On Saturday, alums are invited to watch WVU volleyball take on Big 12 Conference foe Iowa State at a time to be determined. There also will be a tailgate at the Varsity Club Tailgate Tent outside Milan Puskar Stadium prior to the WVU football game vs. Texas, also at a time to be determined.
The cost of the weekend is $50. Included in that cost is a WVU volleyball t-shirt, tickets to the WVU-ISU volleyball match, a ticket to the WVU-UT football game, food and drinks at both Kegler's and the Varsity Club Tailgate Tent, as well as a membership to the WVU Varsity Club. Additional football tickets may be purchased through the Varsity Club.
