Mountaineers Remain No. 2

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rifle team continues to rank No. 2 in the College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Rankings.
This week's rankings are based on NCAA Team Selection Rankings, which are comprised of a squad's top-three scores earned at three different venues. The Mountaineers (12-0, 7-0 GARC) claim an average of 4709.33.
TCU (4713) ranks No. 1, while Air Force (4706.67) sits at No. 3. Kentucky (4704.33) ranks No. 4, and Murray State (4699.97) checks-in at No. 5.
Alaska-Fairbanks (4683.33) sits at No. 6 and is followed by Navy (4674.67) at No. 7. Ole Miss (4671.67), Memphis (4670.33) and Jacksonville State (4667.33) round out the top 10.
The Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) regular-season title is on the line when WVU travels to reigning national champion No. 4 Kentucky. The first relay is set to begin Saturday, Feb. 9, at 8 a.m.
