MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University soccer team travels to Bowling Green for its first Mid-American Conference road game of the season on Saturday, Oct. 26. Kickoff at Cochrane Soccer Stadium in Bowling Green, Ohio, is set for 5 p.m. ET.

"Bowling Green is certainly going to be a big challenge for us, especially on the road," WVU coach
Marlon LeBlanc said. "(Bowling Green coach) Eric (Nichols) has done a great job with his group again this season, so we know they'll be ready to go."
Saturday marks the 13th meeting between the Mountaineers (6-6-1, 0-2 MAC) and Falcons (8-5-1, 0-2 MAC). Bowling Green leads the all-time series advantage 6-4-2, including 2-1-1 at home.
Last year, WVU earned a 3-2 win over BGSU on Oct. 26, 2018, at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown. Then-junior midfielder
Andres Muriel Albino scored twice in the victory, while
Joey Piatczyc netted the game-winner in the 88th minute.
The Mountaineers faced deficits of 1-0 and 2-1, before they scored back-to-back goals in the final six minutes of the match. WVU outshot Bowling Green, 16-9, including 5-2 in shots on goal. West Virginia also held an edge in corner kicks, 7-2.

Luke McCormick have a team-high five assists apiece this season, which is tied for No. 4 in the league entering Saturday's fixture.
Additionally, McCormick is tied for No. 5 nationally in assists by a freshman, while Robles Grajera sits in a tie for No. 8 nationally in goals by a freshman.
In goal, junior goalkeeper
Steven Tekesky ranks No. 2 in the MAC in total saves (40) and shutouts (3). He also sits No. 3 in the conference in saves per game, with 3.1.
As a team, WVU is tied for the MAC lead in corner kicks, with 86, averaging 6.6 per match. The Mountaineers also rank No. 3 in the league in scoring average (1.7).
Last time out, West Virginia fell to Northern Illinois, 4-2, on Oct. 18, at home. WVU found two equalizers in the setback, featuring goals by Robles Grajera and senior defender
Ryan Kellogg in the 32nd and 66th minute, respectively. With the match tied at 2, however, the Huskies scored two unanswered goals to claim the road, conference victory.
Kellogg's tally marked WVU's ninth different goal scorer this season.
The Mountaineers recorded a season-high 15 corner kicks in the loss, as well as eight shots on goal. Robles Grajera and Muriel Albino registered five shots each, as five players finished with multiple shot attempts.
WVU was scheduled to play at American on Oct. 22, before the match was canceled due to unplayable field conditions and inclement weather in the Washington, D.C., area.
Bowling Green is led by 11th-year coach Eric Nichols, who holds a record of 83-87-30 with the Falcons. BGSU is coming off a 4-0 win over Purdue-Fort Wayne on Oct. 22, at home.
Junior midfielder Chris Sullivan leads the Falcons in nearly every offensive category, including goals (6), assists (7), points (19) and shots (28). Senior goalkeeper Anthony Mwembia has started all 14 matches for BGSU this season, tallying 34 saves.
Since the start of the 2016 season, the Mountaineers have earned a 16-11-1 record on the road. The squad also has only conceded multiple goals in six of its last 23 road contests.
