Rally Time with Alexa Hasting

Throughout the last couple months, each member of the West Virginia University volleyball team shared their thoughts on what it's like being a Division I student-athlete at West Virginia and what makes being a Mountaineer so special. We wrap-up our month-long feature with freshman Alexa Hasting.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Hey Mountaineers, Alexa Hasting here with the final blog of the spring semester!
This past weekend we finished up the spring season with a scrimmage against Ohio University and followed it with a fun kid's clinic and pizza! It's hard to believe that freshman year is coming to an end, but it's time to finish strong, both mentally and physical. It's max out week in the weight room, and final exams are right around the corner! Luckily, I only have one final, so hopefully I will be spending all next week studying for my exam and not procrastinating until the night before. After that, I will be heading home to Columbus, Ohio, to spend the summer.
Although I'm going to miss my teammates like crazy over, I'm looking forward to seeing my friends from back home and taking a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with my family at the end of May! When I'm home, I love to visit my brother in Cincinnati, Ohio, and go to Cincinnati Reds baseball games. When I report back to Morgantown at the end of June, I'm excited to hang out by the Domain pool, play sand volleyball and go to Cheat Lake! But of course, all of that is 10 times better when you get to do it with your teammates, who I also like to call my best friends.
