Throughout the next couple months, each member of the West Virginia University volleyball team will share their thoughts on what it's like being a Division I student-athlete at West Virginia and what makes being a Mountaineer so special. Next up – sophomore Katelyn Evans.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –
Hello Mountaineers!!
Katelyn Evans here, and I'm so excited to share my thoughts with you! The spring season is coming to an end and finals weeks is coming quick. I have finals for my favorite classes chemistry, physics and lifespan development. Physics is my favorite class because I don't understand it at all. I have three finals in the next couple weeks, but after that It's SUMMA TIME!
I am so excited for summer to get here, so I can finally feel the sunshine on my face. Coming from California that's the biggest change – the weather and how there are actually four seasons! In the summer, I will be hanging out with Beth every day, working hard. I am also planning on getting a little doggy but it's a secret, so don't tell anyone. Me and my doggo will be waiting patiently for a month before my teammates return at the end of June. In the summer, I'll also be learning more skills like teaching my dog not to use my apartment as a bathroom and cooking something other than my famous huevos a.k.a. eggs in Spanish.
Anyways, back to school. Even though it is coming to an end, that only means that we are months, weeks and days closer to volleyball season, and I can't wait to see Mountaineer Nation in full force at the Coliseum once again. Well that's a wrap for me, until next time my peeps!
