MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team travels to Tallahassee, Florida, this weekend, where it concludes the fall season at the Florida State All-Conference Showdown from Nov. 9-11.
The Mountaineers are joined by student-athletes from 14 different schools and 10 different conferences, including Oregon, Tulane, Wisconsin, Furman, Troy, Central Florida, Middle Tennessee State, East Tennessee State, Florida, McNeese State, North Florida, Clemson Southern Miss and host Florida State.
"This is a great tournament for us to wrap up the competitive part of the fall season," said coach Miha Lisac. "We are looking forward to improving throughout the weekend."
This weekend's tournament action is scheduled to begin each day at 9 a.m. ET. Doubles matches will be played to six points, while singles matches will be decided by the best two out of three, with a third-set tiebreaker in all matches. The Mountaineers are slated to begin each day of the tournament in doubles action.
Doubles Outlook
Each day of tournament action includes at least one round of doubles play, though, West Virginia opens the tournament with two rounds of doubles on Friday. The draws will be determined prior to Friday, based off weather in the area.
Singles Outlook
One round of singles action is scheduled for each day. This weekend's singles draws consist of 10 brackets of eight, and one round robin of four.
A recap of each day's tournament action will be available on WVUsports.com.
