MORGANTOWN, W.Va.
– Joined by more than 35 local schools, the No. 25 West Virginia University women's basketball team will host Bryant on Thursday as part of Education Day. The game will tipoff at 10 a.m. inside the WVU Coliseum.
The Mountaineers have teamed with the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, the School of Nursing, the Honors College and the WVU Exercise Physiology program for the event. Representatives from those units will host a pregame fair on the Coliseum concourse that will focus on the importance of good nutrition and an active lifestyle. Additionally, students in attendance will receive an Education Day workbook to complete throughout the game.
Schools expected to attend include Philippi Middle, Johnson Elementary, Nutter Fort Intermediate, Salem Elementary, Simpson Elementary, West Milford Elementary, Monongah Elementary , Pleasant Valley Elementary, Cheat Lake Elementary, Covenant Christian School, Mountainview Elementary, Mylan Park Elementary, North Elementary, Ridgedale Elementary, Skyview Elementary, St. Francis (First Grade), Suncrest Elementary, Brookhaven Elementary, South Middle School, Eastwood Elementary, Aurora Elementary, Bruceton Middle School, Fellowsville Elementary, Kingwood Elementary, Rowlesburg School, Terra Alta, East Preston School, Anna Jarvis Elementary, Flemington Elementary, Taylor County Middle and West Taylor Elementary.
Admission for the game is free for all fans with gates opening at 8:30 a.m. Buses will park in the Gold Lot and Band Lot. General admission and season ticket holders are welcome to park in other lots. Season tickets will be honored, and general admission will be seated in sections 107 and 108.

Mike Carey said. "Hopefully we can get some of them back to some of our other games. I hope they come and have a great time. I think it will be a great atmosphere."

Katrina Pardee led the way with a 22-point effort, while senior guard/forward
Naomi Davenport registered her seventh career double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Davenport was named the Big 12 Player of the Week for her efforts throughout the first week of the season.
Thursday marks the first-ever meeting between West Virginia and Bryant, who transitioned to Division I in 2012. The Bulldogs enter the contest at 2-1 following a loss to Maine on Tuesday Night. They're led by former Morgantown High standout Sydney Holloway, who is averaging 20.3 points and 15.7 rebounds per game.
Next up for the Mountaineers is a trip to Bimini in The Bahamas, where they will compete in Junkanoo Jam. WVU will face Iowa on Friday, Nov. 23, in a 5:15 p.m. tipoff.
