
Mountaineers Travel to Louisville Tennis Classic

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team travels to Louisville, Kentucky, to compete in the Louisville Tennis Classic on Nov. 2-4.
"It's good for us to get back out on the courts competing this weekend, following a weekend off from competition," said coach Miha Lisac. "We are looking forward to getting better through this weekend's matches."
This weekend's tournament, hosted by the University of Louisville, will take place at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. This weekend's participants include host Louisville, Marquette, Miami (Ohio) and WVU. This year marks the second season that the Mountaineers have competed in the Louisville Tennis Classic.
Doubles Outlook
WVU opens tournament play with doubles action on Friday morning, squaring off against Marquette at 10 a.m. ET and then Louisville at 11 a.m.
Doubles play concludes on Saturday, when the team goes head-to-head with Miami (Ohio) at 10 a.m. and then Marquette at 11 a.m.
Singles Outlook
Singles action begins at noon on Friday, when WVU squares off against Miami (Ohio). The Mountaineers also will compete against the RedHawks at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
WVU continues singles play on Saturday, when they take on Louisville at noon and 3 p.m.
In the tournament finale, West Virginia concludes singles against Marquette at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
