MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their academic success during the 2017 fall semester.
CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams
The Mountaineer women earned a cumulate grade point average of 3.30, earning the national honor for the 20th consecutive semester. The WVU men earned a 3.0 GPA and are receiving the accolade for the second straight fall semester.
WVU is one of three Big 12 institutions to have both its men's and women's teams recognized by the CSCAA. TCU and Texas were the other conference representatives to appear on both lists, while Iowa State and Kansas also were included on the women's side.
The award, presented twice a year, recognizes college and university swimming and diving teams who achieved a cumulative semester GPA of 3.0 or higher.
West Virginia returns to the pool at the Big 12 Championship, in Austin, Texas, from Feb. 21-24.
