MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women’s basketball team concludes its regular-season series with No. 19/22-ranked Oklahoma on Tuesday, Feb. 7, in an 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT contest at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma.
Tuesday’s contest will be televised on FOX Sports Oklahoma and FOX College Sports. (Using their Comcast ID and password, all Comcast video customers can access Fox College Sports streaming content, but only online through xfinity.com/tv or on the XFINITY TV mobile app).

West Virginia (16-7, 4-7) and Oklahoma (18-6, 9-3) previously met on Jan. 8, with WVU prevailing 83-73 over the then-ranked No. 20/24 Sooners. Five Mountaineers reached double-figures. Tynice Martin led the way with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Lanay Montgomery recorded 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. The Sooners own a 3-2 edge in the series in Norman and WVU is seeking its first win there since a 76-75 win on Feb. 13, 2014. The Mountaineers are also aiming for their first road win over a Top 25 opponent since toppling No. 21/20 Oklahoma State, 61-49, on Jan. 17, 2015, in Stillwater.
Oklahoma has won four of its last five games, including two straight. The Sooners swept the Bedlam series with a 66-60 win at Oklahoma State on Saturday.
“Most teams play harder at home than they do away and Oklahoma is one of those teams,” coach Mike Carey said. “They are going to come out and play hard, especially since we beat them the first time. We’ll probably play harder. Why? I don’t know. We didn’t play hard the other night and we weren’t ready to play.”
OU is averaging 74.6 points per game and giving up 65.9 points per game to its opponents. OU is shooting 41.7 percent (642-of-1539) compared to its opponents 38.6 percent (578-of-1499). Oklahoma leads the conference and is 29th nationally with 234 steals.
Peyton Little paces the Sooners with 13.6 points per game and 42 three-pointers. Maddie Manning follows with 12.9 points per game. Vionise Pierre-Louis is averaging 10.3 points and a team-leading 7.9 rebounds per game. Nancy Mulkey’s 55 blocks are second in the conference behind WVU’s Montgomery and 19th nationally.
The Mountaineers dropped an 80-55 decision to Iowa State on Saturday. ISU shot 51.8 percent (29-of-56) from the field and held WVU to a season-low 29.7 shooting percentage (19-of-64). Katrina Pardee paced the Mountaineers with 16 points in the setback.
Martin continues to lead the Mountaineers with 16.9 points per game, which ranks third in the league. Montgomery is averaging 12.0 points and 9.5 rebounds. Her 69.2 field goal percentage (117-of-169) leads the nation, while her 3.3 blocks per game are sixth. Teana Muldrow continues to average 14.2 points per game, which is second on the squad. Chania Ray leads the Big 12 in assists per game (5.7) and Alexis Brewer paces the conference in three-point field goal percentage (50.0%).
WVU is looking to avoid a three-game losing skid for the first time since the 2014-15 campaign. Since February 1, 2015, WVU is 6-0 in its next game when losing back-to-back contests.
