
Mountaineers Back in Top 10

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia is back in the top 10 in both major men's college basketball polls, revealed earlier today.
The 9-1 Mountaineers check in at No. 10 in this week's Associated Press Top 25, and they are also 10th in this week's USA Today Coaches Poll.
It's WVU first appearance in the top 10 since Feb. 27 of last year when it was also ranked No. 10 and the 32nd time under Huggins.
This week also marks the 42nd straight appearance in the AP rankings, and 59 out of the last 62 polls dating back to 2015.
The Mountaineers have been ranked in 62 straight USA Today polls.
West Virginia last played a game that counted on Saturday, Dec. 9 when it defeated Pitt, 69-60, in Pittsburgh. Last Saturday afternoon, WVU topped Division II Wheeling Jesuit, 98-50, in an exhibition game played at the Coliseum.
The Mountaineers resume regular play on Wednesday night with a 7 p.m. meeting against Coppin State at the Coliseum.
