The Mountaineers have posted 10 undefeated nonconference seasons at home under coach
Mike Carey.
The Mountaineers surpassed the century mark for the second straight game against Sacramento State after topping Central Connecticut State, 102-52, in the season opener on Nov. 10. It marks the first time in program history WVU has scored 100 or more in back-to-back games. It also is the first time since 1992 that WVU has posted 100 points in the WVU Coliseum on multiple occasions.
"I don't coach the score, I coach the game," Carey said. "It's hard. People at times think you're up 20, 30 points … why are you on them? You've to get better because you know what's coming down the line. It's not about the game you're in, it's about getting better for the tougher games."
Muldrow leads the team and the Big 12 in scoring, averaging 28.5 points per game thus far. She ranks second in rebounding with 12.0 per game, while Davenport ranks fourth at 10.5 rpg. Additionally, Davenport is seventh in the league with 19.5 ppg and second in steals with 4.0 per game.
Adrienne Jackson leads UNF with 13.7 points per game, followed by Keonna Farmer at 12.7 ppg. Tesh Hanson leads the Osprey with 14.0 rebounds per game. North Florida sits at 2-1 on the season following a 61-56 win over Morehead State on Friday night,
