MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University tennis senior
Lyn Yuen Choo used a two-set victory to advance to the main draw second round at the ITA Regional Championship in Blacksburg, Virginia, on Saturday.
Choo advanced to Sunday's second round of the tournament with a win over James Madison's Emma Petersen. In the first set, Choo won the tiebreaker, 7-6 (4), to take the 1-0 set advantage. In the second set, she pulled away to win, 6-2.
"Lyn Yuen had a solid start to the tournament today," fifth-year coach
Miha Lisac said. "She handled the situations in the match very well."
