Carter Earns Naismith Trophy Honors

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University junior guard Jevon Carter has been named The Naismith Trophy Men’s Player of the Week.
The Maywood, Illinois, native averaged 17 points, five assists, 3.5 rebounds and three steals in two games last week. Carter helped lead the Mountaineers to wins over No. 1 Baylor and at Texas.
Carter and the Mountaineers return to action on Wednesday against Oklahoma at the WVU Coliseum. The game will tip at 7 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN2.
