MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – New season tickets for West Virginia’s 2016-17 men’s basketball campaign will go on sale Tuesday, June 28, at the Mountaineer Ticket Office.
New men’s basketball season ticket holders who purchase by the July 29 priority deadline will have the opportunity to select their seat locations during online Optional Seat Selection Process in September. MAC members at the Gold annual giving level and above will have the opportunity to self-select lower level seats during the seat selection process if available. Please visit WVUMAC.com for more information on lower level priority ticket limits.
Purchasing upper level season tickets will guarantee fans a seat selection time and save money compared to buying tickets at the single game price. Upper level season tickets are available for $340 each in the upper sideline sections and $275 in the upper baseline sections. MAC members at the Gold annual giving level who purchase lower level seats during the seat selection process will pay for the difference in ticket cost at the time of selection. Fans should note that the seating sections inside the WVU Coliseum are being renumbered as part of the renovations. Upper sideline sections are now sections 206-217 and 231-237. Upper baseline sections are now sections 201-205, 218-225 and 238-240.
To order 2016-17 men’s basketball season tickets, visit WVUGAME.com or call 1-800-WVU GAME. Single game tickets will go on sale at a later date.
Order forms are being mailed to MAC members, WVU faculty/staff members as well as other past ticket purchasers. Faculty/staff can purchase up to six season tickets at a discounted rate.
Season tickets purchased after the July 29 deadline will be allocated by the Mountaineer Ticket Office to the best available seats based on Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC) annual giving levels and priority points within each giving level.
West Virginia will play 18 regular season home games at the WVU Coliseum. The Mountaineers open the regular season against Mount St. Mary’s on Nov. 11, and the non-conference portion of the home schedule is highlighted by Texas A&M on Jan. 28, in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. Every Big 12 Conference school will visit Morgantown again this season.
The Mountaineers are coming off of its seventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the last nine seasons. Coach Bob Huggins will enter his 35th season as a head coach in 2016-17. He currently ranks ninth all-time in NCAA wins with 791.
