Men's Soccer Hosts Senior Banquet

The West Virginia University men's soccer team held its annual banquet on Friday, April 1, 2016. The highlight video, played at the event, can be seen above and here, while a photo gallery can be seen here.
At the annual event, the team took one last look back at the 2015 season and honored the senior class. Seniors Haydon Bennett, Ivo Cabral, Ryan Cain, Francio Henry, Zak Leedom, Griffin Libhart and Jamie Merriam were recognized for their outstanding careers as Mountaineers.
Additionally, two awards were handed out. Sophomore Joey Piatczyc was named the Abel “Shadow” Sebele Players’ Player of the Year, while Leedom was recognized as the Coaches' Award recipient.

Voted on annually by members of the WVU men’s soccer team, the Players' Player of the Year award was renamed in Sebele’s honor this year. Sebele, who passed away in January, was a midfielder for the Mountaineers from 2009-12.

The Coaches' Award annually honors the player that best exemplifies what it means to be a Mountaineer men's soccer player: honor, respect, philanthropy, leadership, academic success, selflessness, character and integrity.
