Championship Pairings Set For Postseason Play

IRVING, Texas - The top college basketball conference in America is set to begin its postseason as the bracket has been set for the 2016 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship. The Kansas Jayhawks earned the regular-season title and will be the No. 1 seed - the 16th outright or shared crown in 19 seasons for KU, which has accomplished the feat 12 years in a row.
Seven of 10 teams finished at .500 or better in league play, while six are currently ranked in the top 25. West Virginia is seeded second after posting 13 league wins, its most since joining the Big 12. No. 3 Oklahoma is next, followed by No. 4 Texas, No. 5 Baylor and No. 6 Iowa State.
First-round games will be played on Wednesday with No. 8 Kansas State facing No. 9 Oklahoma State and No. 7 Texas Tech taking on No. 10 TCU.
