MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (October 16, 2016) – The West Virginia University football coaching staff has named its award winners for outstanding performances in the Mountaineers 48-17 win over Texas Tech at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas, on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Offensive Champion – Rushel Shell III; Defensive Champion – Sean Walters; Special Teams Champion – Michael Ferns; Offensive Scout Champion – Conner Watts; Defensive Scout Champion – Jeffery Pooler.
The No. 12/13 Mountaineers play host to TCU on Saturday, October 22, at 3:30 p.m. The game is officially sold out and will be televised on ABC with a reverse mirror on ESPN2 in the markets that aren’t carrying the game on ABC.
The TCU game, presented by WVU Medicine, will be Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
Tickets remain for West Virginia’s home games with Kansas (Nov. 5), Oklahoma (Nov. 19) and Baylor (Dec. 3). A new mini-package, the HailWV mini-package, is now available that includes those final three home games for $175, a savings of $25.
