Teddy Bear Toss Set for Wednesday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women’s basketball team hosts its annual Teddy Bear Toss on Wednesday, Dec. 30, when the Mountaineers take on No. 5/6-ranked Texas. Tipoff with the Longhorns is slated for 7 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
Fans are invited to bring new or gently used teddy bears and other stuffed animals to toss on the court at the game. All donated items will be distributed by the City of Morgantown Police and Monongalia County Sherriff’s Office to child victims of crime and trauma.
Tickets for Wednesday’s contest are just $1 courtesy of United Bank. Fans can purchase tickets online at WVUGAME.com by selecting the print-at-home option or by calling 1-800-WVU GAME.
West Virginia (10-2) concludes non-conference action against Elon on Monday, Dec. 28, in a 7 p.m. contest at the Coliseum. The Mountaineers are riding an eight-game win streak after picking up a 75-64 victory over Indiana on Monday.
