Cross Country: Mountaineers Remain at No. 3

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University cross country team remains at the No. 3 spot in the national poll announced today by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The rankings remain the same this week as Washington holds the top spot with 360 points, followed by BIG EAST foe Villanova with 347 points and the Mountaineers with 330 points. Oregon (327) and Princeton (312) also retain their rankings to compete the top five.
The Mountaineers are also ranked No. 2 behind Villanova in the Mid-Atlantic region for the second-straight week.
WVU is set to return to action this weekend with the Penn State National Invitational in University Park, Pa., on Friday, Oct. 16.
