Ryann Shaughnessy joined the Mountaineer Athletic Club staff in March 2021 as the assistant director of the annual fund. She is responsible for growing and maintaining MAC membership and providing overall annual fund support to the Mountaineer Athletic Club.
Shaughnessy began her career in collegiate athletics as intern with the Ram Athletic Fund at Virginia Commonwealth University, but most recently was promoted to a graduate assistant with the RAF where she worked with VCU’s annual fund, special events, and the ticket office. Her work experience also includes a stint as a marketing intern with the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
A native of Somers, New York, Shaughnessy earned her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in the spring of 2019 in Business Marketing and a master’s degree in sports leadership at VCU in 2021. While attending VCU, she was a member of the inaugural women’s lacrosse team.
Shaughnessy resides in Morgantown.
