Justin Fitzpatrick joined the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in 2021 and serves as the assistant director of creative content.
Working primarily with the men’s basketball and men’s soccer teams, Fitzpatrick is responsible for the creation and development of WVU's digital initiatives on social media, video and web.
Prior to his time at West Virginia, Fitzpatrick served as the director of football operations/creative solutions at his alma mater, Western Illinois, where he oversaw day-to-day operations of the football program, as well as coordinated and created content for social media and managed the team’s social media platforms during the spring 2021 season. He also worked as a video and media design coordinator at Western Illinois from 2019-20. He has received acknowledgement from various organizations for his work, including CoSIDA, NATAS and BEA.
A native of O’Fallon, Missouri, Fitzpatrick graduated with a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and journalism from Western Illinois in 2019, before he received his master’s in sport management in 2021. A two-sport, collegiate athlete, Fitzpatrick was a four-year letterwinner on the Leatherneck football and baseball teams, earning two all-conference honors on the gridiron and multiple academic all-conference accolades in both sports.
