Kaitlyn Frutinger joined the West Virginia University athletic training staff in July 2024 and tends to the athletic training needs of the women’s cross country and track & field programs.
Her responsibilities include day-to-day care, rehabilitation, and injury prevention for the Mountaineers.
Frutinger comes to WVU after graduating from Eastern Kentucky University in May 2024, earning her master of science in athletic training. She earned her bachelor’s degree in allied health from Luther College in 2022, where she played on the women’s basketball team.
While at EKU, she also assisted the Mississippi track and field teams as well as the Centre College football, volleyball, men’s lacrosse, and men’s and women’s basketball team as an athletic training student.
Additionally, Frutinger collected clinical hours as an athletic training student with EKU football, Luther College football and at Lafayette High School.
She has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2022.
Kaitlyn currently resides in Morgantown.
