Candice Brown is in her first season working as a student mental performance consultant for the WVU Rowing program.
A native of Chapmanville, West Virginia, Brown provides individual and team sessions, focusing on enhancing the mental aspect of student-athlete performance.
She was awarded the American Kinesiology Association Undergraduate Student Award for 2019-20 for the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences. Brown also served as the vice president of the sport and exercise psychology club and a peer advisor for the program.
She has been a member of academic honor societies, including the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Brown is a doctoral student at West Virginia University in the sport, exercise and performance psychology program. She completed her master’s degree in clinical and mental health counseling from WVU in 2022, and she earned her bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise psychology in 2020, also from WVU.
