Shirley Milush joined the West Virginia women’s basketball staff as an office administrator in 1988 and oversaw the day-to-day office procedures for nearly 20 years before retiring in 2007. In 2008, she re-joined the staff as a program assistant and is responsible for communicating with team alumni, among other duties.
An avid Mountaineer fan, Milush has worked under five head coaches. She graduated from West Virginia Junior College in 1980 and worked part-time in various WVU departments, including biology, political science and physical education, before joining the athletics’ staff.
Milush resides in Morgantown with her husband of more than 50 years, John. In addition to her sons John and Tom, she has two grandchildren - Derek, a student at the University of North Georgia, and Lauren, who attends Georgia Southern.
