At West Virginia: Transfer from Northwestern State ... sat out the 2002-03 season due to NCAA transfer rules, but was eligible to practice with the team ... gives the Mountaineers size and strength inside ... gained valuable experience sitting out the 2002-03 season learning Coach Beilein’s system ... worked hard in the weight room to improve his strength ... tremendous work ethic ... has good range from the perimeter ... added more than 30 pounds of weight since he has come to Morgantown ... has a wingspan of 91 inches ... had a remarkable junior season for the Mountaineers ... led the team in scoring at 10.8 points per game ... led the team in rebounding as well at 6.2 boards per game ... had 124 blocked shots, shattering Marcus Goree’s previous season record of 70 ... second in the BIG EAST in blocked shots and third nationally ... had a school record in his first game as a Mountaineer with eight blocks at James Madison, breaking Goree’s game record of seven ... also had eight blocks against Boston College ... broke his career blocks mark with nine against Rhode Island in the NIT ... nearly missed a triple-double against the Rams, finishing with 11 points and nine rebounds ... had season highs of 19 points in the final two regular season games against Syracuse and Miami ... started the final 21 games of the season ... shot 56.1 percent from the floor and 77.5 percent from the charity stripe ... reached double figures in 18 games ... had three double-doubles, including a season-high 13 rebounds against Providence ... including Northwestern State, now shows 317 career blocks ... needs 20 more blocks to rank among the Top 25 in NCAA history ... already fourth in career blocks at West Virginia ... averaged 11.4 points and 7.8 rebounds during the 2004 European tour ... had a triple-double with 29 points, 11 rebounds and 10 blocks against FC Baunach, a club team from Germany.

At Northwestern State: Was an honorable mention all-Southland Conference selection after averaging 9.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.43 blocks per game as a sophomore ... tallied 133 blocks for the season, starting all but one game ... his 4.43 blocked shots per game ranked him second in the country among NCAA Division I schools ... had two of the three triple-doubles in the school’s history ... had a career-high 25 points against Texas-San Antonio ... had four double-doubles ... helped the Demons to the 2001 Southland Conference tournament title and the school’s first NCAA Tournament appearance ... in the win over Winthrop in the play-in game, had 10 points, 11 rebounds and nine blocked shots ... broke the NSU, Southland Conference and Louisiana collegiate single-game blocked shots record with 13 versus Southwest Texas ... the 13 blocks was the best single-game total in the nation in 2000-01 and was one shy of tying the NCAA record shared by four players, including David Robinson ... finished with 69 rejections his freshman season despite only starting one game ... finished his freshman year averaging 5.1 points and 4.0 rebounds.

In High School: Graduated from Upper Darby in 1999 but did not attend college during the 1999-2000 academic year ... attended four high schools in four years due to family relocations ... did not finish a season of prep basketball ... attended school in Maryland as a freshman and did not play basketball ... as a sophomore, played briefly at Monsignor Bonner High School in Philadelphia ... played at Middletown (Md.) as a junior and at Upper Darby as a senior ... spent 1999-2000 living with his sister, who was stationed at the Columbus (Miss.) Air Force Base ... voted “Most Likely to Succeed” in his senior class and chosen “Class Clown” although he attended Upper Darby for only five months prior to the elections.
