MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team (6-7, 0-7 Big 12) dropped a 4-2 decision to No. 45 BYU (13-4, 2-3 Big 12) on Saturday afternoon in Provo, Utah.

The Mountaineers opened the match by securing the doubles point with wins on courts two and three.

In singles play, West Virginia earned one victory, as Laura Villanueva Morillo posted a straight set win on court two. BYU claimed the remaining four singles matches to secure the team victory, while the match on court one went unfinished.
