
Mountaineers Post Multiple Top-10 Program Times at Big 12 Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The West Virginia University men's and women's swimming and diving team finished competition on the third day of the 2026 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Sophomore Joey Stebbins posted the sixth-fastest time (3:50.39) in program history on his way to a second place finish in the B final of the men's 400-yard individual medley. In the women's 400 IM, sophomore MJ Gilligan placed fifth in the B final with a final time of 4:21.40.
In the final individual event of the night, redshirt junior Christian Simpson won the C final, as he recorded the second-fastest time in program history in the C final of the men's 200-yard freestyle (1:35.37).
In the diving well, sophomore Levi Hellmann followed up his performance on Wednesday night with a third-place finish in the B final of the men's 1-meter (305.60).
During prelims, senior Jamin Harlan and freshman Felix Vicknair each recorded a top-10 time in the men's 100-yard butterfly. Harlan ranks seventh all-time (47.35), and Vicknair ranks ninth (47.52) in program history.
