MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team (12-1, 0-1 Big 12) hosts Kansas State (7-3,0-2) for its conference home opener on Wednesday, Oct.1. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET, inside the Hope Coliseum in Morgantown, W.Va.
Wednesday's game is a volleyball court rally towel giveaway, as the first 250 fans will receive a rally towel.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by visiting WVUGAME.com or calling 1-800-WVU GAME. When purchasing online, tickets are $6 each and $5 each for groups of 10 or more. Any remaining tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for youth and seniors and $5 for groups at the ticket window on match day.
WVU student tickets are available at the Mountaineer Ticket Office, located at the Hope Coliseum, and are free with a valid WVU Student I.D. The office, as well as the stadium gates, opens at noon, on game day.

Wednesday's match marks the 26th meeting between the Wildcats and Mountaineers with K-State leading the all-time series, 17-8. Last season, Kansas State swept West Virginia in the season series, both matches going to five sets.
Last time out, West Virginia fell in four sets to Cincinnati on Sept. 27 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Mountaineers were led by offensively by junior outside hitter
Nina Horning, who had 14 kills.

Alexis Finnvold leads the Mountaineers with 21 service aces, which ranks fourth in the conference. Her 0.45 aces per set rank fifth in the conference. WVU is currently second in the conference in aces per set (1.94), hitting percentage (0.296) and team service aces (91).
Jason Mansfield is in his third year at the helm of the Wildcats, with a record of 33-30. K-State enters the match at 7-3 with a conference record of 0-2. In its last outing, Kansas State lost to No. 8 Arizona State at home, 3-0 on Sept. 28.
