Rowing Names Four to Novice/Walk-On Squad

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After conducting a three-day tryout, the West Virginia University rowing team has announced its 2025-26 novice/walk-on squad, featuring four first-year rowers.
The 2025 Novice/Walk-On Team includes Lily Broccoli, Kelsey McTaggart, Quinn Ray and Ellie Vaughn.
"We are looking forward to starting training and integrating them into the team," assistant coach Ciara Devenuto-Wyeth said. "There is a lot of excitement about the quality of these individuals, and we are prepared to help develop them."
The newest Mountaineers will begin team practices on Friday, Sept. 19, and will continue throughout the fall. They have their first competition at the Head of the Occoquan in Fairfax County, Virginia, on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at Sandy Run Regional Park, hosted by the Occoquan Boat Club.
