MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team head to the Dolphin Volleyball Classic, hosted by Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida from September 18-20. The Mountaineers face Florida A&M, Jacksonville and Jacksonville State over three days of competition.
West Virginia (9-0) opens the tournament on Thursday, at 3:30 p.m. against Florida A&M, followed by a Friday night matchup with Jacksonville at 6 p.m. The tournament wraps up Saturday at 1 p.m. against Jacksonville State. All games will be held in Swisher Gymnasium. Live stats are available for all games at WVUsports.com.
The Mountaineers look to continue their early season success, following wins at the Quest for the Crown, West Virginia Invitational and Jack Kaiser Volleyball Classic. This start marks the third best in program history, with the program record being 10-0 in both the 2021 and 2013 season.

Cassidy Tanton earned All-Tournament honors at the Jack Kaiser Volleyball Classic.
Sheridan, who was also named tournament MVP, led the way with 25 kills (.500 hitting), adding five digs and five total blocks, while averaging 3.06 points per set. Barr anchored the middle with 21 kills (.436 hitting), 11 blocks, and five digs, averaging 2.94 points per set. Tanton contributed across all phases with 19 kills (.405 hitting), 12 digs, five service aces, and two blocks, averaging 2.83 points per set.
