MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's soccer team heads back on the road as it travels to Dayton, Ohio for a matchup at Dayton on Sunday, Aug. 31. Kickoff at the Flyers' Baujan Field is slated for 1 p.m. ET.

Sunday's matchup marks just the second-ever meeting between West Virginia and Dayton, as this well be the Mountaineers' first trip to Dayton. WVU owns a 1-0 record against the Flyers. The two teams met for the first time on Aug. 26, 2005, as the Mountaineers claimed a 3-1 win in Morgantown.

Taylor White scored in the third straight contest to put the Mountaineers on the board in the 17th minute, before sophomore midfielder
Maddie Levy scored in the 24th and 53rd minutes to seal the win for West Virginia. The scores marked the first of Levy's career, while she became the first two-goal scorer for WVU this season. White was credited with the assist on both of Levy's goals, while sophomore forward Alexis Ré assisted White's game winner.
Eric Golz is in his ninth season as the head coach at Dayton, as the Flyers are coming off a 14-4-2 campaign and the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic 10 Tournament in 2024. Dayton enters Sunday's contest with a 2-1-1 record so far in 2025 following a 1-0 win over Western Kentucky on Aug. 28. A trio of Flyers have registered one goal this season, while four different players have assisted a tally. In goal, Bataoul Reda has registered 10 saves on the year.
