MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Mountaineer Sports Network from Learfield has announced the start of the second season of its popular WVU Olympic Sports Coaches Show live from the Mountain State Brewing Company in Morgantown.
The show returns on Tuesday evenings beginning Sept. 9 with WVU Olympic Sports fall season coaches appearing weekly from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Mountain State Brewing Company's location on Monongahela Boulevard. The live, 60-minute show will again be hosted by
Andrew Caridi and allow fans to interact each week with the featured coach and learn about each team.
"We have eight shows scheduled to start our second season after a highly successful first year," WVU Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs Matt Wells said. "All our coaches enjoyed being out in the community and engaging with our fans last year.
This is perfect way to stay connected with our teams and that's why everyone is looking forward to season two."
The fall season lineup gets started with women's soccer coach Nikki Izzo Brown, who is in her 30
th season leading the Mountaineers and has built one of the nation's top programs.
Other coaches slated to appear in the fall portion of the show's schedule are women's tennis coach
Miha Lisac, cross country coach
Sean Cleary, men's soccer coach
Dan Stratford and volleyball coach
Jen Greeny.
"Mountain State Brewing looks forward to hosting the WVU Olympic Sport coaches again this season," Mountain State Brewing Company owner Brian Arnett said. "I think it is a great opportunity for fans to engage with the coaches, and at the same time, get to know more about them, the student-athletes and their programs."
On site, fans can look forward to entertainment and good food and for those not in attendance, the one-hour show will be archived and available the following day on several listening options such as the Varsity Network App, the Apple Podcast Stream, and the
WVUSports.com audio on demand feature located on the school's official athletic website.
